The Beier Family

(as published in the Richmond Review in 1951)

Fred Beier, father of Charles Beier, was born in Prussia, Germany in 1850 and came to the United States as a small child with his parents. Henrietta Hagen, his wife, was born in Mecklenburg, Germany and when she came from Germany, her parents located in Lenox township, on Gratiot road.

The Beiers had three children:

1. Henry Beier (deceased);

2. Christine Beier (Mrs. Charles Donner) Detroit, and

3. Charles Beier, living in Richmond.

Henry married Annie Kuecken and they have two sons, Laurence and Norwood. Norwood is married to Sylvia Smith and they live on St. Clair highway.

Christine Beier married Charles Donner of Detroit. They have one daughter.
Gertrude Donner married John Horstman in Detroit.

Charles Beier married Frances Sager.
They have one daughter, Luella Sager who is married to Milton Schultz. The Schultz's have four children:
1. Delores Schultz who is married to William Spicer;
2. Milton Schultz Jr.,
3. Gerald Schultz, and
4. James Schultz.
